One of the most appreciated drinks, Wine is an alcoholic beverage resulting from the fermentation of grapes or grape juice. The word comes from the Latin word ?vinum` referring to both `Wine` and the `vine`. These specific alcoholic beverages can also be made from other fruits or from flowers or grains. It is made from a variety of ingredients which are then fermented where the alcohol level is 12-18% naturally unless fortified. This drink has acted like a symbol of luxury, enjoyment, power and many more factors for civilization ever since its creation centuries ago. The drink of choice of the Roman world, as with that of the Greeks, was Wine also. It was more than a mere drink, but a sign of civilization at that time. It was often spiced or sweetened with honey and generally watered down. In Rome it was on sale everywhere and there were almost 200 varieties to choose from. It can also be added to your bread by replacing some or all of the liquid in your recipe with 1 to 1 ratio. Even though only a small percentage of this special drink tends to improve with age in any manner, a lot of its appreciators take on the task of starting a collection of this beverage. There are some rules that need to be observed while embarking on this specific collection journey, like taking time and choosing wisely, tasting before selecting and purchasing at least three bottles of each type. Similarly, the cellar for keeping this delicious beverage should have a consistent temperature, darkness and should be solid and vibration free, and slightly humid. If all these conditions are met accordingly, it would greatly enhance the life of the collection of ones favorite Wine.
